Buy the Taika Blouse Dress sewing pattern from Named. Taika is a timeless midi-length blouse dress with half sleeves and gathered sleeve openings. This lightly fitted dress features a V-neck and a button closure. The curved waist seam runs below the bust at the front, and the gathers at the bust and centre back give volume and shape to the bodice, while the vertical seams of the skirt contour the body.

Suggested fabricsChoose a light weight or medium weight non-stretch shirting. Depending on the desired result, you can either opt for a drapey fabric, such as rayon or Tencel, or a less drapey one, for example lightweight cotton or linen shirting.

Fabric requirementsThe fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.

150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 240 - 320 cm (2 5/8 - 3 1/2 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 295 - 455 cm (3 1/4 - 5 yd).

Sizing: EU 32 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our ). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a 172 cm (5’8″) tall person.

Notions: Fusible interfacing, 155 cm (1 3/4 yd); 7 mm (1/4"") elastic, 55 cm (22""); 9 small buttons.
